The Writer Behind the Notebook

Call me Ish — Meg. Call me Meg.

I'm a single mother by day and writer by night. I love YA fantasy, and I read it as well as write it. I also write other literary short stories. My favorite book of all time is Gail Carson Levine's Ella Enchanted. I am also a huge (read: gigundanormous) fan of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. In addition to YA fantasy, I also love historical fiction and the occasional "chick-lit" novel. I'm a sucker for a good love story and love to have a thread of romance in just about everything that I write.

Here are some other random factoids:

• I like to write (duh), read (duh), and sing (la la la!).


• My favorite color ink to write in is purple. My favorite color, in general, is purple.


• I like sunrises and sunsets.


• My favorite time of day is twilight.


• I love looking at Christmas lights without my glasses on.


• I have an (unhealthy) addiction to bananas and Oreos.


• I went to an all-women's university.


• I dabble in a myriad of fictional genres.
